New Delhi, July 10 (Inditop.com) A 32-year-old man stabbed his friend and business partner to death but died himself after falling from the fourth floor of a building while trying to escape in Kalkaji area of south Delhi, the police said Friday
According to police, the incident took place Friday afternoon when Ashwini Kumar went to the house of his friend and business partner Satvinder Singh, who lives in DDA flats in Kalkaji area. Both were involved in housekeeping business for the last six years.
“However, both soon entered into an argument, apparently over some money issue which led to a fight. Ashwini then repeatedly stabbed Singh with a knife. Singh also retaliated and hit Ashwini,” a police officer added.
According to the officer, Ashwini, realising that people were rushing to the spot after hearing them fight, fled to the roof of the four storey building, but fell down and died on the spot. “Probably he was trying to escape from the spot,” the police officer added.
“Singh was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he succumbed to his injuries. Ashwini was a resident of Rampuri area of Kalkaji in south Delhi. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Singh is survived by his wife and two children,” the police officer said.
“The duo were working together since the last six years and were childhood friends. We are further investigating the matter,” the police officer added.
