Ghaziabad, May 1 (IANS) Dentist Nupur Talwar stood in queue to get her lunch of arhar dal, aloo palak subzi and chapati Tuesday in Ghaziabad’s Dasna jail. She also got issued a book from the jail library, a jail official said.

Talwar, the mother of murdered teenager Aarushi, would have to spend another night in the jail with a special court reserving till Wednesday its order on her bail plea.
Talwar, who is in Barrack number 13 along with 69 other women inmates, is “like a normal qaidi (prisoner)”, Dasna jail superintendent Viresh Raj Sharma told IANS.
“She stood in line like the other inmates to get her lunch and is mixing with other inmates,” Sharma added.
She woke up at 5.30 a.m. and had a simple breakfast of gur-chana with tea after spending a night in Dasna jail in connection with the 2008 twin murders of her daughter Aarushi and the family’s domestic help Hemraj.
Sharma said that Talwar interacted with her fellow prisoners and claimed innocence.
“No special treatment was given to her,” Sharma told IANS.
Talwar was taken into custody Monday morning, shortly after surrendering before the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) special judge S. Lal, who rejected her plea for interim bail.
