Abuja, May 3 (IANS) At least 30 people were killed when gunmen opened fire in a cattle market in northeast Nigeria, Xinhua reported Thursday.

The attack took place around 7.30 p.m. Wednesday in Potiskum city of Yobe state. Several people were injured.
State police spokesperson Toyin Gbadegeshin said Thursday that an AK-47 rifle used in the attack has been recovered from the scene.
