Milan, May 5 (IANS) At least five people were killed in a bus accident Saturday in the Italian province of Padova, a media report said.

The bus was carrying 23 people, including retired police officers and their families, to the sea resort of Jesolo near Venice, where the corps is holding an annual rally, Xinhua reported.
The accident occurred in the morning when the bus, travelling on a highway, in clear weather conditions moved away from the road for unknown reasons breaking the safety bars and then rolled over into a slope for about 50 metres, the report added.
Five passengers died while 10 others injured, five of them seriously, who were rushed to nearby hospitals, according to ANSA news agency.
