Patna, Dec 27 (Inditop) In the first week of January, hundreds of devotees from India and abroad will attend the birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh, here in the city of his birth.

The three day celebrations will be held at the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, Takht Sri Harmandir Jee Patna Sahib, Jan 1-3. Guru Gobind Singh was born here on Dec 22, 1666.

“A large number of Sikh devotees have already arrived to participate in the 342nd birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh,” Takht Sri Harmandir Jee Patna Sahib Vice President Tajendra Pal Singh Dhillon said.

He said the celebration will be begin Jan 1 with with a gathering of poets, followed by a rally Jan 2 and the main function Jan 3.

Morning religious rallies, which have started Dec 22, will conclude Jan 1.

Takht Sri Patna Sahib is one of the five most sacred pilgrimage sites for Sikhs.
