Beijing, June 30 (IANS) At least five people were killed and 22 were injured in China Saturday when a bus fell into a river after being hit by rocks on a mounntainside in Shichuan province, the authorities said. One person is missing

The accident occurred around 7.30 a.m. in the Yibin city’s Gaoxian county, Shanghai Daily reported.
According to a provincial work safety department official, the bus was carrying 29 people when it was hit by rocks falling from a roadside mountain face. The bus veered off the road and plunged into a river, Xinhua reported.
Continuous rains have pelted Sichuan in recent days, unleashing floods and landslides.
