Patna, July 3 (IANS) Former Bihar legislator and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sanjay Jha Tuesday joined the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) in the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here.

“It is fact that I have left BJP and joined JD-U but there is neither gain nor loss for any alliance partner,” Jha said after joining the JD-U at the chief minister’s official residence.
He said he joined the JD-U after consulting some top BJP leaders.
“I’ll continue to work as usual for strengthening the NDA in Bihar and at the national level,” he said.
However, state BJP leaders are tightlipped about the Jha changing his party.
“Jha was considered an aide of Nitish Kumar and was seen as the man behind several decisions of the government,” a senior JD-U leader said on condition of anonymity.
State JD-U president Vashisht Narain Singh said the move would not affect the BJP and JD-U alliance in Bihar.
JD-U spokesperson Sanjay Singh said Jha’s soul was with the party and now he had physically joined it.
