New Delhi, July 4 (IANS) A total of 7,400 houses will be constructed for people belonging to economically weaker sections of the society, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Wednesday.

“The Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) has given its approval for the construction of 7,400 five storey EWS houses at Bhalaswa Jahangirpuri,” said Dikshit who is also the chairman of the board.
Bhalaswa Jahangirpuri is in northwest Delhi.
She was talking to reporters here after the meeting of board which was attended by Delhi’s Urban Development Minister A.K. Walia, Chief Secretary P.K Tripathi, CEO of DUSIB and other board members.
