London, July 29 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Britain’s No.1 Andy Murray secured a straight-sets win over Stanislav Wawrinka of Switzerland in the first round of Olympics tennis tournament here Sunday.

Murray won 6-3, 6-3 under the Centre Court roof against an opponent who took him to five sets the last time they met on the Wimbledon grass.
Wawrinka, ranked 26th in the world, tried to get back into the match in the second set, but 19 unforced errors hampered his efforts as Murray wrapped up the win.
The Scott’s next opponent will be either India’s Somdev Devvarman or Finnish veteran Jarkko Nieminen, whose match has been delayed due to rain.
