Bujumbura, Aug 1 (IANS) At least 14 passengers were killed and four others seriously injured in an explosion in a bus in a village 70 km from the capital city of Bujumbura, Xinhua reported Wednesday.
The incident happened Tuesday evening in this east African nation’s Muramvya province when a gas canister exploded in a minibus.
“The explosion occurred at the village of Rweteto in a passenger minibus which was coming from the capital Bujumbura and heading to the province of Ngozi (in north Burundi),” said Oscar Ndayiziga, governor of Muramvya province.
