Jammu, Aug 1 (IANS) The army is giving training in vehicle driving to the unemployed youth of remote mountainous areas in Rajouri and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ (goodwill).

“A driving training exercise is being organised for the unemployed youths of Talwara, Reasi and areas of Rajouri district under Operation Sadbhavna (goodwill). It will enable them to get jobs or start self-employment ventures,” an army spokesman said.
The group consists of 25 youths who are given hands-on practical training with a good student-teacher ratio.
“On successful completion of the subject training cadre, driving licences will be issued to these candidates through respective regional transport offices (RTO),” the army spokesman added.
He observed that this would go a long way in helping the unemployed youth of the region “to find gainful employment and to be bread-winners for their families”.
The spokesman said the army is planning to bring more remote areas under the scheme.
