New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) India’s U-19 World Cup winning captain Unmukt Chand hopes that the attendance problem with his alma mater St. Stephen’s College would soon be sorted out amicably.

“I’m hopeful that the issue will be sorted out. I did not know that it will become such a big issue before I reached Delhi but definitely things are expected to be sorted out,” said
Unmukt’s father Bharat Chand Thakur said principal Valsan Thampu has always wished his son good luck and claimed that the relationship between the cricketer and the college remains cordial.
“Unmukt has always sought blessings from his school and college principals and they have always wished him good luck. Whatever the issues are, they will be solved,” said Unmukt’s father.
Thakur said his son is proud to be a Stephanian and has no plans to change his college.
“It was always been Unmukt’s dream and our dream that he does his graduation from St Stephen’s college and he is a proud Stephanian,” he said.
