London, Oct 1 (IANS) A music teacher in a British college has been banned for life from teaching and jailed for 14 months after he had secret sex sessions at his institute with a 16-year-old girl.

David Livesey, 27, from Prenton, Merseyside, sparked the affair with a suggestive comment on a photo of the girl in a prom dress on a social networking site, the Daily Express reported.
The Liverpool crown court heard that the man had an 11-month relationship with the girl, now aged 18, and sex sessions at St. John Plessington College, Wirral.
The daily said they also had sex in the loft of a church, where the music teacher used to play the organ. The acts took place between 2010 and 2011.
The married teacher pleaded guilty to charges of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust.
The judge barred him from working with children for life and placed him on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
