New Delhi, Jul 21 (Inditop.com) A 23-year-old man, who suffered losses in business, turned criminal for the treatment of his ailing wife but was arrested with his accomplice for stealing costly devices from cars, police said Tuesday.
Ramesh and his accomplice Moin, 43, were arrested Monday from Daryaganj in central Delhi for the stealing electronic computer modules (ECMs), a device used in operating Multi Point Fuel Injection auto engines.
“Ramesh in his interrogation said he was working as a contractor at Minto Road where he came in contact with Moin, a scrap dealer. He (Ramesh) suffered loss in the business and was unable to carry out the treatment of his ailing wife and was in urgent need of money,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaspal Singh.
“He discussed his problem with Moin who induced him to join hands with him to steal ECMs, which are very costly and highly in demand and can easily be disposed off for Rs.2,500 each,” he added.
