Patna, Nov 1 (IANS) A Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader, Ashok Kushwaha, was shot dead in Bihar’s Vaishali district early Thursday, police said.

Kushwaha, a contractor, was shot during his morning walk, a police official said. As news of his killing spread, hundreds of people protested by blocking roads and shouting slogans against the administration.
In August, LJP’s Sheohar district president Sanjay Kumar Pander was shot dead.
