Sao Paulo, Dec 29 (IANS) Neymar’s father claimed that Barcelona would be the perfect destination for his footballer son but the Brazilian will not join the club until the 2014 FIFA World Cup, according to Spanish sports website sport.es.

Neymar da Silva confirmed his son’s desire to leave Brazil in 2014 and said the Catalan club would be an excellent match, reports Xinhua.
“It’s his (Neymar) desire to leave Brazil. He’ll do this in 2014. For this reason we have cut short his contract with Santos from 2015 to 2014,” da Silva said Friday.
After bursting onto the world football scene as a 17-year-old, Neymar has been surrounded by constant rumours regarding a transfer to one of Europe’s biggest clubs. The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been linked with the youngster.
“Barcelona is a wonderful club, not just because they have won titles but because of the way they play. They show the world a different style, a way to play the game that Brazilians are familiar with. The football at Barcelona is similar to the way Neymar plays,” he said.
