Chennai, Jan 2 (IANS) Former Tamil Nadu chief minister M. Karunanidhi Wednesday said the DMK will chalk out its strategy for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections based on the deliberations at different forums of the party.
Speaking to reporters here, Karunanidhi said he as an individual cannot announce anything relating to the party’s stand.
The DMK president said the party has convened a meeting of its district secretaries Jan 6. The party will chalk out its election strategy based on the discussions in the district secretaries’ meeting followed by meetings of the party’s executive and general councils.
Meanwhile, rival AIADMK leader and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa Dec 31 said that her party will fight the Lok Sabha polls alone as both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are against sharing of Cauvery river water in Karnataka with Tamil Nadu.
