London, March 30 (IANS) Scottish football club Celtic captain Scott Brown will be sidelined for up to six weeks after undergoing surgery on an abductor problem.

Brown has been struggling with problems of the thigh and hip for over a month and it was decided an operation was the only solution for the Scotland midfielder, reports Xinhua.
The 27-year-old had also been troubled by a pelvic injury and sidelined for 13 matches earlier this season.
