Houston, March 31 (IANS) The Houston Rockets, playing without shooting guard and leading scorer James Harden, cruised past the Los Angeles Clippers 98-81 in NBA action at the Toyota Center.
Harden missed his third game of the season Saturday with a right ankle sprain but the Rockets managed to fill the void left by him. Houston managed to stay in control of the Clippers and maintained a 55-50 lead at halftime before breaking the game open in the second half, reports Xinhua.
Jeremy Lin and Parsons combined for 13 points in Houston’s pivotal third quarter when the Rockets outscored Los Angeles 30-13. The Clippers never came closer than 14 points in the fourth.
Parsons, Jeremy Lin and Francisco Garcia scored 15 points apiece for the Rockets. Rockets centre Omer Asik registered his 30th double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
