Johannesburg, April 28 (IANS) About 20 armed robbers Sunday attacked a famous casino in South Africa, but the attempt failed following a shootout with police that left three people wounded, a media report said.

In the morning shootout at the Emperors Palace casino in Johannesburg, the robbers opened fire at police, Xinhua cited the South African Broadcasting Company (SABC) as saying.
Two suspects were shot and injured in the shootout, and an innocent child in the vicinity got hit and wounded by a stray bullet, police said.
At least 10 suspects were arrested.
The report said police were ready to foil the robbery as they had already received information about the attempt.
