New Delhi, July 29 (Inditop.com) If Monday’s downpour in the capital was not enough, the met office has forecast more rain for Wednesday with a strong possibility of thundershowers in some places.

“There will be cloudy skies, with possibility of rain and thundershowers at some places. This could lower temperatures,” an official at the Safdarjung met office told IANS.

The minimum temperature is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius and the maximum will hover around 35 degrees Celsius. The humidity, however, could continue to be high, the official said.

On Monday when Delhi recorded around 70 mm of rain, there was mayhem in the capital with floods and traffic pile-ups that continued till Tuesday. The entire civic system was in a state of disarray with choked and overflowing drains worsening the deluge.

With no rainfall on Tuesday the capital was especially muggy and warm. The maximum temperature touched 33.4 degrees Celsius with 81 percent humidity.
