Jerusalem, April 30 (IANS) Dozens of Israeli settlers in the West Bank set fire to Palestinian lands and properties and hurled stones at Palestinian vehicles, following a deadly attack Tuesday morning in which a Palestinian stabbed a settler to death, reported Xinhua citing local media.

About 50 settlers from Yitzhar set fire to nearby Palestinian lands in West Bank and hurled stones at a girls school bus, leaving the driver wounded.
The driver was moved to Nablus hospital, but his condition is unclear. Several girls have been lightly injured due to the attack. Settlers have also entered the nearby villages of Urif and Hawara setting fire to buildings and injuring another Palestinian.
Israeli security forces eventually dispersed the settlers and arrested seven of them for the violent incidents.
A Palestinian stabbed and killed an Israeli settler at the Tapuch junction in the West Bank early Tuesday.
According to police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld, the Palestinian “stabbed the victim and then snatched his weapon”.
He added that police forces exchanged fire with the attacker, leaving him wounded, and then arrested him.
The military wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party claimed responsibility Tuesday for the killing of the settler in the West Bank.
According to a statement released by the group, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said Salama Al-Zaghl, who stabbed the Israeli settler to death at a bus stop, was one of its members, and warned Israel against harming him.
The killing was the first incident of its kind in the West Bank for more than a year and a half.
