Harare, July 24 (IANS) India defeated Zimbabwe by six wickets in the first ODI of their five-match series at the Harare Sports Club here Thursday.

Set a target of 229, India made 230 for four with 31 balls to spare after debutant Ambati Rayudu remained unbeaten on 63 and skipper Virat Kohli made 115.
Brief Scores: Zimbabwe 228/7 in 50 overs (Sikandar Raza 82, Elton Chigumbura 43 not out; Amit Mishra 3/43). India 230/4 in 44.5 overs (Virat Kohli 115, Rayudu 63 not out; Prosper Utseya 2/34). India won by six wickets.
