Mumbai, Sep 20 (IANS) Filmmaker Abhinay Deo won six honours at the Spikes Asia 2013 awards for his TV commercial, Nike Parallel Journeys.
He took home one gold, four silver and a bronze in categories like direction, editing, sound design, best use of music, cinematography and art direction.
“It has been some great few years for RDP (Ramesh Deo Productions) and me. Our work has been appreciated by everyone. We have been fortunate to win at Cannes and Spikes Asia for 2 consecutive years. I am thankful to my entire team at RDP without whom this would not have been possible,” Deo said in a statement.
The TVC was extensively shot all over India right from Leh, Jammu and Kashmir, till Pondichery with young cricket players as well as the members of the Indian cricket team.
The film elevates the everyday journey of India’s cricket crazy youth and athletes as they pursue their dream.
Deo has also directed movies. He went behind the camera for “Game” and “Delhi Belly”.
Currently he is working on the Indian adaptation of US television series “24”. The show features Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor in the lead role and will go on air Oct 4 on Colors channel.
