New Delhi, Oct 15 (IANS) Model-turned-actor Milind Soman Tuesday unveiled a new deodorant by legendary male grooming brand Old Spice which, he said, symbolises real men.
“Old Spice is for the real men. Rugged masculinity and earthiness, it has everything I believe in and that’s why it was good to be associated with the brand at this stage in my career,” the 47-year-old told reporters at a press conference here.
“It is all about what the real men today does, like following their own path and being true to themselves,” he added.
Milind is the new face of the brand and the first campaign, a take on the archetypical North Indian men, called “Mantastic” shows him bare-chest with a towel wrapped around his waist.
“Of late there has been talks about the real masculinity in Indian men. From grooming to styling their hair, wearing the colour that suits them, they are doing everything to become a real man, but everything is fake, nothing in them is real. With the comeback of Old Spice, it will be a comeback of real men,” Milind said.
Later, Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal, known for his toned body and high voltage action in movies like “Force” and “Commando”, joined Milind on stage and said: “Release the man, man!”
“Every Indian men is Mantastic. We are born as male, but what we choose makes us the real man. It is now time for all Indian men to take a cue from the Mantastic campaign and live true to the definition of a real man,” said the actor.
The 150 ml deodorant bottles are priced at Rs.150.
