New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) Delhi Metro will stop services at 8 p.m. Sunday on account of Diwali, said a official release Friday.
The last of Metro train Sunday will start at 8 p.m. from the terminal stations of all the six lines – Dilshad Garden-Rithala, Jahangirpuri-HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre-Dwarka Sector-21, Yamuna Bank-Vaishali, Inderlok-Mundka, Central Secretariat-Badarpur Metro station.
“Metro train services will run as usual for rest of the day on Diwali from 6 a.m. onwards,” said the release.
The Delhi Metro will also keep two extra standby trains on each line to handle the passenger rush on the occasion of Bhai Duj Nov 5, if required.
It will also deploy more Customer Facilitation Agents to help and guide commuters at the busy Metro stations and will also operate additional ticket counters, if required, said the release.
Metro train services on the Airport Express line will be available from 4.45 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. on the occasion of Bhai Duj.
