Chennai, Nov 17 (IANS) Cinematographer Ramji says he has so many colours in the Tamil romantic fantasy drama “Irandam Ulagam”, slated to release Nov 22, that it will be like a visual colour palette.

“This is my third film with Selva, and our relationship has only grown stronger over the years. ‘Irandam Ulagam’ was tough because I had to create a new world with a lot of colours. The final output was like a colour palette,” Ramji told IANS.
“I thoroughly enjoy my work because each film is different from the other. This one in particular is special because I had the opportunity to learn more about technology. Knowledge never goes waste, does it? Therefore, I was happy being part of the project,” said Ramji, who had previously worked with Selva in “Aayirathil Oruvan” and “Mayakkam Enna”.
Directed by Selvaraghavan, “Irandam Ulagam” is a love story set against the backdrop of two different worlds.
“Since it’s a fantasy story set in an imaginary world, I had to use a lot of colours. The colours in a way reflect the mood of the characters in the film. If the period flick ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ was demanding, ‘Irandam Ulagam’ is even more challenging,” he added.
PVP Cinema-produced “Irandam Ulagam” features Arya and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. It is dubbed in Telugu as “Varna” and will also be released in other languages such as Hindi, Georgian, Russian and Turkish.
Ramji had previously been associated with films such as “Click”, “Apna Sapna Money Money” and “Supari”.
