Tehran, Nov 20 (IANS) Hundreds of university students in Iran congregated at the underground Fordow uranium enrichment site Tuesday and formed a human chain to support what they called “the full cycle of nuclear fuel production”.

Expressing their support for Iran’s nuclear negotiating team in its ongoing talks with the world powers (US, Russia, China, France, Britain plus Germany), the students urged the Iranian negotiators to resist the “excessive demands” made by some countries, reported Xinhua citing Iran’s state-owned IRIB TV.
Ali-Akbar Salehi, the head of Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, joined the students and said Iranians “will never give up the full cycle of nuclear fuel production”.
On Monday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that “excessive demands” upon Iran would be detrimental to the negotiations.
He did not specify what the demands were; however, Monday, French President Francois Hollande announced some of the strictest demands with regard to Iran’s nuclear ambitions than any other country.
His announcement came ahead another round of nuclear talks due to be held between Iran and the P5+1 group Wednesday.
