New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) Expressing great confidence of winning the Delhi assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday said its party workers would now focus on bringing voters to polling booths.
“The anti-Congress wave, a swing towards the BJP and better coordination at the booth level will ensure that the BJP forms the government in Delhi with a sizeable majority,” Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said Monday.
“For the next two days, we will focus on individual booths,” she said.
Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said the BJP’s victory was certain, and that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has media presence disproportionate to its following.
“AAP has greater media visibility vis-a-vis its true strength,” Jaitley said.
“The loser in these elections is now known – all that needs to be seen is what will be the BJP’s majority, and whether the new party will be able to make its presence felt,” he said.
Delhi goes to the polls Wednesday, Dec 4, to elect its 70 members to the state assembly.
