Ottawa, Dec 4 (IANS) Reigning Olympic downhill champion Lindsey Vonn is expected to start in Wendesday’s downhill training run of Alpine Ski World Cup at Lake Louise of Canada.

The 29-year-old American skier injured her right knee ligament in a training crash last month, re-injuring the same knee that underwent surgery last February after a fall at the World Championships in Austria, reports Xinhua.
“A decision on her participation in downhill competitions Friday and Saturday, along with super G Sunday, will be made after the final official training session Thursday,” the US Ski Team said in a statement.
Vonn, a four-time overall World Cup champion, has won 14 times, including a sweep of all three race titles in each of the past two years at Lake Louise.
