New Delhi, Dec 30 (IANS) It was a cold morning in Delhi Monday with the minimum temperature recorded five notches below average at 2.4 degrees Celsius, Met Office said.
This is the lowest temperature recorded in the national capital this season.
While it was a clear morning, cloudy sky and light rain is expected later in a day, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
“The sky will be clear in morning, to become partly cloudy later. Light rain is expected in some area,” an official said.
The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be around 18 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 100 percent.
According to Northern Railways, at least 13 trains were running late due to the fog.
Sunday’s maximum temperature was 19.5 degrees Celsius, a notch below average.
The minimum temperature dipped three notches below average at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
