Islamabad, Jan 5 (IANS) In a case of honour killing in Pakistan, a woman and her husband were Sunday shot dead by her brothers who later surrendered to the police, media reports said.

Police said Sana and Amjad of chak number 107 had married by choice, but the local panchayat had sent Sana back to her parents’ house in Pakpattan, in the Punjab province. Undeterred, the couple did not stop meeting, Geo News reported.
When Sana went to meet Amjad Sunday, her brothers shot both dead and then walked to the police station to surrender.
Police have started an investigation into the incident.
