Chennai, Feb 2 (IANS) Talented 17-year-old Mukund Sasikumar caused a major upset defeating Japanese top seeded tennis player Hiroki Kondo 6-4, 6-4 in the second round of the qualifying event of the Shriram Capital P.L. Reddy Memorial $50,000 ATP Challenger here Sunday.

Mukund served and stroked smoothly to break Hiroki early in the first set to gain advantage and then never looked back.
Seventh seed Prajnesh Gunneswaran kept his cool to break Joshua Milton of Great Britain once in the first set and twice in the second to win 6-4, 6-3.
