Agra, Feb 7 (IANS) Gusty winds and a shower and hail post midnight brought the chill back to the Taj city Friday.
The weather office has forecast light rain due to a Western disturbance.
Farmer Ravi Singh of Barauli Ahir block said the showers “didn’t last too long but the sudden dip in the temperature caused some discomfort”.
“Last night after 11.30 p.m., there was thunder and lightning followed by hail and drizzle,” said Sudheir Gupta, a resident of Vijay Nagar colony.
A Western disturbance is an extra-tropical storm system originating in the Mediterranean that brings sudden rain or snow to the northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent.
