Riyadh, Feb 10 (IANS) Saudi Arabia has said the quota of Indian pilgrims for Haj 2014 has been fixed at 136,000, which remains unchanged from the previous year, due to an ongoing expansion work at the grand mosque in Makkah, the Arab News reported Monday.

Haj Minister Bandar Hajjar Sunday told an Indian delegation led by Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed that 136,000 Indian pilgrims will be allowed to perform Haj this year.
India’s actual agreement in 2013 was on a quota of 170,025 that was later reduced to 136,020.
The Indian delegation, which arrived Saturday, also discussed with Saudi authorities the accommodation and transportation arrangements for Indian pilgrims.
