Ghaziabad, Feb 13 (IANS) After the approval of the Dilshad Garden extension by the Delhi government and later by the DMRC board, Delhi Metro chief Mangu Singh Thursday inspected the Ghaziabad site and held discussions with officials.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Managing Director Mangu Singh, project manager S.K. Singdharia and officer R.K. Jain visited Ghaziabad and toured the route.
“We took them to the railway station and visited the old bus stand via Amedkar road to explore the possibilities of further extension,” said Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) official Santosh Kumar Yadav.
After approval by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the project, the DMRC board approved the 9.71 km stretch estimated to cost about Rs.1,770 crore. The stretch would have seven elevated stations in Ghaziabad.
