Islamabad, Feb 18 (IANS) At least eight members of a family were killed Tuesday by armed assailants who entered their house in Pakistan’s Lahore city.
The assailants escaped from the scene after killing the eight people, including three children and two women, in Lahore’s Johar town area.
According to relatives of the deceased, they tried to contact the family members since Monday night but when they did not receive any response, they reached the residence where they found all the occupants of the house murdered, reported Dawn online.
Superintendent of police Muhammad Awais Malik said the victims were killed Monday night, adding that the attackers used sharp objects to kill them.
The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem.
