Zandvoort (Holland), Aug 22 (Inditop.com) Despite bogeying the final hole, Shiv Kapur managed to make the cut by the skin of his teeth at the KLM Open. He added a third round of 69.

The Indian golfer had a first round of 71 and carded a two-under 68 to finish 36 holes at one-under 139 and make the cut in tied 57th place.

In the third round, Kapur opened with a bogey on first, and then birdied the second, only to give back the shot with a bogey on third.

He birdied seventh, bogeyed ninth to turn in one-over. On the back nine, he bogeyed the 11th and then eagled 12th and birdied 13th to get to one-under. He continued his up-and-down journey with birdies on 16th and 17th and bogeys on 15th and 18th.

Darren Clarke shot a second round 67 to give himself a chance of retaining the title. He shared the halfway lead with Peter Hedblom of Sweden. First round leaders Paul McGinley (70) and Gary Orr (73) slipped back.
