New Delhi, Feb 25 (IANS) Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung Tuesday reviewed a new public grievance system put in place at Delhi Secretariat and instructed that problems faced by the people must be addressed swiftly.

The new Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS) has been established for redressal of complaints received during public hearing sessions, by post, online and at the secretariat itself. A help desk has been set up to have a direct interface with the public.
“The system is working on paperless mode through PGMS portal. Brief details of the grievances are entered in the system, scanned and then forwarded to the concerned departments for taking appropriate action in a time bound manner,” said a statement from the LG’s office.
“Various guidelines have been issued in order to properly deal with grievances.”
Approximately 200 departments of Delhi government have been connected through the portal and are required to upload their response to the grievances within the stipulated time.
“The lt. governor has instructed that there must be a speedy redressal of problems through this new facility and he will review of the working of this system periodically,” the statement said.
