Berlin, March 31 (IANS) Monchengladbach increased Hamburg’s relegation worries while Bremen snatched a pivotal point against Hannover to close the 28th round of the German Bundesliga.
Borussia Monchengladbach remained on course for a European spot following a 3-1 win over relegation-threatened Hamburg, who Sunday suffered their 16th loss of the season, reports Xinhua.
Monchengladbach remain in sixth place and in touching distance of an UEFA Champions League berth while second to last Hamburg continue their downward spiral.
Elsewhere, Bremen came from behind to beat Hannover 2-1.
With the result mid-table Bremen opened up a gap to the drop zone whilst Hannover suffered a setback as they slumped from 12th to 13th place.
