Guwahati, April 2 (IANS) Three people, including a woman, were killed when suspected militants fired indiscriminately Wednesday at a group of people in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, police said.

The incident took place in Barabada village. The victims were identified as labourers engaged in construction of a bridge. Two others were injured.
“A group of militants with their faces covered came to the construction site and inquired about the contractor,” an official said.
