Vilnius, April 3 (IANS) Ten crew members with a C-27 J Spartan transport aircraft from the Lithuania Air Force were formally deployed to the French-led mission in the Central African Republic Wednesday, the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania said.
The deployed Lithuanian military will supply logistic support to the operation Sangaris for stabilisation of the situation in the CAR, Xinhua quoted the ministry as saying.
The Lithuanian air force will supply service of transporting cargo and personnel, without being involved in combat actions, it added.
