New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) Over a hundred companies and 200 dcelegates led by Commerce Secretary Rajeev Kher will take part in the “India Show” at the Hong Kong Spring Fair, aimed at networking and forging business relationships with Chinese buyers, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said here Thursday.

India Show, being held April 27-30 concurrently with Hong Kong Spring Fair, is being organised in association with the commerce ministry and the consulate general of India in Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong Spring Fair 2014, Asia’s Largest Spring Fair, is organised by the Global Sources and held at the Asia World Expo”, CII said.
“The exhibition will be showcasing a wide range of products from home products and garments to fashion accessories. Indian participation at the Hong Kong Fair is the largest ever comprising of over 200 numbers from industry, government, art and culture,” it added.
Hong Kong being an established bridgehead for business in China, the sourcing fair will provide Indian exporters with an opportunity to forge relationship with Chinese buyers, CII said.
India-Hong Kong bilateral trade in 2012 stood at $20.38 billion, a decrease of 11.7 percent over 2011. The balance of trade during the same period was in India’s favour to the extent of $596 million.
