Hyderabad, April 30 (IANS) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu voted Wednesday in the Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

KCR, as the TRS leader is popularly known, flew in a helicopter from his farm house near Hyderabad to his village in Medak district to vote. He was accompanied by his wife.
Talking to reporters later in Chintamadaka village, he exuded confidence that the TRS would form the government in Telangana on its own.
“We will get two-third majority,” he said when asked if the TRS would join hands with the Congress to form the first government in Telangana.
“I am 100 percent confident. There is no doubt. There is a tremendous wave. We will (win) closer to 90 (assembly seats),” he added.
KCR, who is contesting for the Lok Sabha from Medak and also for the assembly from Gajwel, said it was thrilling to vote for the first time in Telangana after the parliament passed the bill for separate statehood.
The TDP chief, who was campaigning in Seemandhra, returned to Hyderabad to cast his vote. The former Andhra Pradesh chief minister, his wife Bhubaneswari, son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmini voted in Jubliee Hills.
Naidu was confident that the TDP-BJP alliance would form the government in Telangana. He urged people to take a right decision while deciding the future of Telangana.
The TDP leader said a Narendra Modi government in New Delhi and a TDP government in Telangana and Seemandhra were a historic necessity. He said their alliance was in the national interest.
