Well its official, owning an iPhone is way cooler than owning any other cellphone. In a recently published research it was found the people with iPhones went out on more first dates than those who had Androids, Blackberries or low end feature phones.
The research which was carried out by Match.com drew its conclusions from 5000 single respondents from both within and outside its office. The sample group was asked approximately 200 questions which included how many first dates they went out on in the previous year.
The results were quite telling; it was discovered that 49% of the people who owned an iPhone went out on at least 1 first date in 2012, while 46% of those who had Android phones got to get some first date action in the same year, the number fell down to 44% for those who were using a Blackberry. The revelations did not stop there; only 27% of the people who had a feature phone (old school Nokia, Samsung etc) went out on a first date last year and 18% of those who did not own any cell phones got to date.
So does this prove that owning an iPhone really improve your odds with the opposite sex as far as dating is concerned? Or is this an indicator of the sad but true reality that people with more money are simply more socially successful than those who are not so well off, after all iPhones are at the top of the cell phone food chain.
