New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Indian Air Force chief Arup Raha Saturday reviewed and took the salute at the passing out parade of the National Defence Academy, and complimented the cadets for their “immaculate turnout and excellent drill”.

A total of 360 cadets graduated from the NDA as they passed through the portals of the prestigious Khetarpal parade gound, an official release said here.
Air Chief Marshal Raha, who reviewed the passing out parade of the 126th course, said the quality of the parade “speaks volumes of the fine training that is imparted by the prestigious institute”.
He also congratulated the award winners for their performance in the entire spectrum of training over the last three years at the academy.
Raha also complimented the instructors and staff of the NDA for their dedication and commitment in nurturing potential military leaders, and congratulated the proud parents who supported their wards and encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
The release said that academy Cadet Adjutant Rahul Kadian won the President’s Gold Medal for standing first in overall order of merit.
The silver medal was won by academy Cadet Captain Vivek Yadav and bronze medal by Battalion Cadet Captain Surya Prakash.
The parade saw flypasts by Chetak helicopters and Pilatus and Jaguar aircraft.
The parade culminated with a grand finale by three Jaguars and three Su-30 aircraft carrying out a vertical manoeuvre.
