Chandigarh, June 1 (IANS) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal Sunday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was a “pack of cards” and would disintegrate soon.

Interacting with the media on the sidelines of a function in Bathinda district in south-west Punjab, Badal said: “Due to lack of any ideological commitment and concrete programme, the AAP is on the verge of disintegration.”
The AAP won four Lok Sabha seats in Punjab out of 13 seats. The party drew a blank in the rest of the country.
Badal said: “The AAP had fooled the people by showing them green pastures but when they were mandated to serve the people in Delhi, its leadership ran away from their responsibility.”
The AAP was only a “short term phenomenon” and the “disenchantment amongst its key leaders has proved that the days of this party are numbered”, he said.
“The fact that key leaders of AAP have resigned from their party posts reflects that the base of this party is continuously eroding,” Badal added.
