London, June 16 (IANS) Not sure if you are getting your moves right while doing yoga in the morning? Soon, your mat could act as your personal trainer and guide you.
Currently only a concept product, the “Tera” mat is embedded with LED lights and sensors that both track the user and guide them through fitness routines.
Developed by a Munich-based company Lunar Europe, the Tera syncs with an app that can instruct and track progress for activities including yoga, capoeira, and more.
The LED lights then react to this information, and illuminate to show the user where to position their hands.
If they make a wrong move, for example, if weight is not evenly distributed, the lights start flashing.
At the end of a workout, the mat made from fine wool logs the user’s progress, and cumulative data helps it develop individualised workouts.
Lunar has not announced how much the Tera will cost or when it will be released to the public, Daily Mail reported.
