Islamabad, Aug 2 (IANS) At least five people were killed Saturday in separate incidents in Karachi as heavy rains hit the city.
A man in Metroville died as a wall collapsed on him, Dawn online reported.
A woman and two children were injured in a similar incident in the Naval Colony and were shifted to a hospital for treatment where the woman and one child succumbed to their injuries.
In Karachi’s Buffer Zone area, two people died due to electrocution.
Haevy rains are still continuing in different parts of the country.
As the initial monsoon rains battered the city, most parts of Karachi are also facing power outages.
Many areas across the city were flooded due to rainwater.
The meteorological department has predicted a continuing spell of rain.
