Mumbai, April 8 (Inditop) Indian equities markets took a nose dive at the opening bell Wednesday, with a key index trading about 3.06 percent lower than its last closing figure.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) opened at 10,283.58 points, lower than its 10,534.87 point close Monday. About 10 minutes into trade, it was at 10,212.22 points, 3.06 percent or 322.37 points below its previous close.
The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 3,158.65 points, 3.01 percent lower than its last close of 3,256.6.
The BSE midcap index was ruling 2.45 percent lower than its previous close, while the BSE smallcap index was down 1.59 percent.
